Richard Cook is a fourth generation Texan and knows Texas, Texas History, and Texas Oil History. Lee Sr. High School, and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in historic Nacogdoches within sight of the Old Stone Fort. Anyone with all his schools named after Texas historical characters has to know his history, right? Richard has been walking in the shadows of Texas history all his life. He has been going on field trips to all these sites since the third grade. He can take you to the actual sites where Texas History happened, San Jacinto Battleground, Sam Houston's Homes and Gravesite in Huntsville, The Old Stone Fort in Nacogdoches, Washington on the Brazos with Independence Hall, Goliad and the Presidio, and the most visited Shrine, The Alamo. Many have said that Richard is so good at this, that if you listen closely to him and look where he is pointing, you too might see them..........he claims he can....... Richard can also take you to the original sites of some of the most famous oil wells in Texas oil history. How about going to see the actual site of Spindletop.....walk around the old salt dome that now is a lake. See the site of the first oil well in Oil Springs outside of Nacogdoches. Drive down the road where the Daisy Bradford Discovery Well gushed to start the Last Boom, the famous East Texas Oil Field. Contact Richard @ RichardCook@TexanaTours.com for his schedule and rates. |
